Long term storage
An important part of the succes of Dutch agriculture is the experience Duch growers have with the long-term storage of products. This is especially true in the case of the long-term storage of organically grown products.
Selecting the correct variety, controlling humidity and temperature during storage and the treatment of the product before it goes into the mechanical stores; these are all factors which determine the quality of the stored product. The growers Bioport works with have a great deal of experience in these fields. That means that we are able to store and supply organic products well into June without the use of chemical agents designed to stop or slow down internal growth or sprouting.
