Root chervil
Something completely new to me – a very pronounced taste and really delicious
I visited Arenona this week and was given a handfull of rooted chervil to take home. The official name for this vegetable is ‘turnip-rooted chervil’ and is also known as ‘tuberous rooted chervil’. This is the first year they have grown it. It’s expensive to grow – the seed is expensive and the yields are low. At the moment the organic rooted chervil is sold to restaurants and catering companies.
